On Tone Software’s (News - Alert) 2012 wish list were exciting new announcements, releases and overall business continuity. The industry-leading VoIP monitoring solutions provider cruised past the “naughty” list to receive all of that and more this holiday season as Santa unloaded his dearly beloved sleigh.
This October, Tone rolled out some exciting new opportunities for its customers which proved very beneficial. The first being a new ReliaTel Lync Monitoring tool for free Lync Quality of Service (QoS) management. The tool was aimed to manage the quality of services in Lync UC environments, and was strategically designed for easy use, access and configuration, as well as to provide critical, top-of-line visibility into users’ Lync call quality.
"At the core of today's Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync UC adoption wave is the convenience of deploying advanced UC capabilities within your existing Windows infrastructure, and rapidly realizing all the collaboration and productivity benefits UC has to offer," explained Amit Kapoor, Tone’s director of strategic technology about the development. "The free ReliaTel Lync Monitoring Tool builds on that premise to provide Lync users with a quick and easy methodology to monitor and manage critical QoS across their Lync UC environment."
Continuing this momentum, the company revealed its new Microsoft Lync-Integrated ReliaTel VoIP and UC Management solution that same month. The enhanced version 4.1 of its ReliaTel VoIP and UC Service Assurance solution now offers monitoring and management for Microsoft Lync UC environments. This solution goes above and beyond in that it’s specifically and uniquely adapted for Microsoft Lync, working to proactively manage the entire Lync UC environment as well as the underlying IPT network, primary VoIP switch, third party SBCs and network transport devices, end users’ desktop resources and users’ softphone call quality.
This May, Tone took center stage at the IAUG Global Education Conference in Boston, M.A. to lead a session titled, “The Metrics that Matter – Effective Support Strategies for VoIP, SIP and UC Quality and User Experience.” The conference provided comprehensive learning opportunities exclusively for Avaya (News - Alert) customers, and with industry insight from heavy hitters, the event was a hit. Furthermore, the event played well into the fact that earlier that month, Tone’s ReliaTel VoIP and UC management solution was rated compliant with key small to midsize collaboration solutions from Avaya.
Specifically, the session provided “a deep dive into the analytics of VoIP QoS, SIP and UC applications by identifying and decoding the key metrics that have the greatest impact on user experience, service level degradation and recurring quality issues,” according to Tone’s Director of Marketing, Tracey Whitney.
Rounding out the year was more news this spring, where the company released its new voice management solution – ReliaTel VoIP and UC Assurance – as a cloud-based management service. The cloud service was aimed to help transform the way MSPs and enterprise IT organizations manage such things as VoIP QoS, network performance and UC service levels. This new ReliaTel cloud-based management service also actively handles problems involving limited staffers and budgets, as well as costly on-premise equipment, as reported by TMC’s (News - Alert) Carrie Schmelkin.
So as you can see, Tone certainly experienced quite a successful and impressive year, and there’s more where that came from as we look the rapidly approaching New Year.
