HighJump Enhances Portfolio with Customizable Voice Technology Solution for Warehouse Management Productivity

In an effort to offer its customers an enhanced suit of voice solutions, HighJump Software forged a strategic alliance with Speech Interface Design (SID), a turnkey industrial speech recognition solutions provider.

HighJump’s supply chain management software can be used in the 3PL/logistics services provider, aerospace and automotive, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), healthcare, high-tech, manufacturing, retail and wholesale/industrial distribution industries. The company’s solutions help streamline the flow of inventory and information from supplier to store shelf. This software will also support the management of inventory and information from supplier through manufacturing, distribution and all the way to direct store delivery.

This partnership will ultimately allow HighJump Software to integrate SID’s voice solution into its supply chain management software. HighJump customers will in turn enjoy a comprehensive solution incorporating configurable voice solutions, including distribution voice-enabled workflow for areas such as picking, receiving and replenishment, as well as for manufacturing processes such as kitting, assembly and inspection, the company clarified in a statement.

The solution will come with ten voice technology configuration options that can be set by warehouse, pick area or employee. This allows a company to establish different requirements based on its particular needs, such as the ability to skip a slot, speak the slot location for validation, validate staging locations or determine whether the item name is spoken to the user.

Voice technology can be a key productivity enhancer for warehouse management.

By combining voice technology with the HighJump warehouse management system, the customers will be able to increase the accuracy of picking and other warehouse activities. This ultimately will help to drive lower total cost of ownership.
